let me tell u wad i had to do yesterday during lab session
every group had to appoint someone to have their urine sample collected
n guess who in my group ahd to do it?

basket rusy!!! ahahaha she ah she said she wanted to look at red blood cells under microscope (because im menstruating and blood cells will be rpesent in the urine)
so i was like F.
hahaha
sofie was not in the list cos she had done it for us before
and rusy was totally backing out
u chicken u!! =P
so yala
me n some ppl from the grpmembers were at the toilet pee-ing and talking to each other while at cubicle saying ''eh funny sia wan to collect''
hahaha
but seriously la
disgusting
my turn is over thank God
but u noe wad
i rather have my finger pricked and my blood collected rather than peeing into a tupperware and let my grpmembers hav a look at my urine sample
to non-biomedical students reading this, sorry if too much info but this is wad we do in the lab =)

so yep
we had our urine sample centrifuged
and the supernatant was thrown away
then the pellet left in the tube was mixed and a drop from that sample was placed on the glass side and viewed under hte microscope, 40 x magnification

so yeah
i could see my red Blood cells!
i guess im not anaemic anymore hehe cos my blood cells looked normal
i was anaemic wen i was younger
and yea
my sample was stylo because it was the only one with red blood cells
other ppl's one had those u noe boring dots and some squamous epithelial cells that shed off from ur tract haha
so yep
